So quite randomly a few weeks ago I got a lovely tweet from the folks over at Tibby Olivier asking if I would be interested in trying out some of their products. Which was very nice of them. I went to check out their website as I wasn’t familiar with the brand and got mildly giddy when I read that they are “One of England’s best kept secrets”. Not sure about you but I love feeling like I have just discovered some amazing life changing beauty secret that isn’t known to the masses. Reminds me of when I was 14 and bought my first clear mascara from the Euro shop. ( Or 99 cent store if you are so inclined ). Of course there wasn’t really anything special or secret or unique about this. I was just being 14. Young, dumb and full of…clear mascara ideals.
Anywho I completely forgot about this until yesterday low and behold a little package arrived at my front door from them. Clearly a sign from the beauty Goddesses considering I have just started my very own blog. When I opened the package there were two products. Faith Lift Miracle Mask and Faith Lift Cream.
The first thing that struck me- aside from the lovely packaging, was the fact that there are no instructions anywhere. Not in the box. Not on the box. Not on the containers themselves. Nowhere. Ingredients? YES. What to do with said ingredients? NO. This may put some people off, but oh no, not me. Maybe, just maybe, this stuff really was an amazing secret? I washed my face, patted it dry and then proceeded to put the Miracle Mask all over it. It was terribly messy. Like glue. Golden gluey glue. But I got there. Then I didn’t know what to do. So I sat and looked in the mirror, pondered my life and waited for the miracle to happen. And you know what? It bloody did. Slowly but surely my face started to tighten and the glue started to harden. I could actually feel it pulling and lifting my skin. I looked STUNNING…
Spock ears and all. After about 20 minutes when it was completely dry and I resembled a melted Barbie doll head I stretched and moved my skin around until it started to crack. Which was the best part. If you get a sick enjoyment out of popping bubble wrap or picking at scabs like I do, then trust me this will be your favourite as well.
It was a tiny bit painful and I did fear for my eyebrows at one point, but I rinsed what was left and was fine. This part might be where directions would have come in handy. I was quite liberal with the face cream. I’m sure a little does go a LONG way with this though. I’m just a more is more kind of girl when it comes to face creams. It is a super thick consistency which I was really happy about. That might not be for everyone but I like them the thicker the better. Smelled gorge. My skin drank it right up and wasn’t dewy or greasy at all. Skin was soft as a baby. Overall I really like these two products and will post an update when I’ve used it a few more times. 7 out of 10.
